Mr. Baldo was admitted to the State Bar of California and the United States District Court, Eastern District of California, in 1973. Mr. Baldo was employed by the Placer County District Attorney’s office from 1973 to 1974. He joined the historic law firm of Chamberlain & Chamberlain in 1974 and became a partner of that law firm in 1980. In 1980 the law firm name was changed to Chamberlain, Chamberlain & Baldo. In 2011, the firm merged with the Roseville law firm of Sinclair & Wilson.


PROFESSIONAL


Mr. Baldo served as a hearing officer for the State Bar of California from 1979 to 1989 and as a Mandatory Fee Arbitrator for the State Bar of California from 1979 until 2006. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Placer County Bar Association and served as President of the Placer County Bar Association in 1978. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Placer County Legal Aid Society from 1974 to 1980 and is a past president of that organization.

Mr. Baldo has received an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, which signifies prominent status for legal ability and professional standards.


PRACTICE AREAS


Mr. Baldo limits his practice to probate and estate planning, which includes trusts and wills, guardianships and conservatorships.


EDUCATION


Mr. Baldo was born in Auburn, California and graduated from Placer High School in 1964. He attended the University of California at Santa Barbara from 1964 to 1966 and the University of California at Berkeley from 1966 to 1968, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of the Pacific – McGeorge School of Law in 1973.


COMMUNITY


Mr. Baldo is currently a Director and Chairman of the Board of Community 1st Bank, which is headquartered in Auburn, California. He formerly served as Director of U.S. Bank of California and Heart Federal Savings & Loan Association.

He has served on the Boards of Directors of the Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital Foundation, the Harry Rosenberry Foundation, St. Joseph’s Parish School, located in Auburn, California, the Mercy Foundation in Sacramento, California, the Auburn Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Auburn-Placer Performing Arts Theater. He was the Chairman of the Committee to Preserve the Courthouse for the Courts from 1985 to 1994.


PERSONAL


Mr. Baldo currently resides with his wife, Susanne, in Lincoln, California. He has two adult children, Brittany Haydon and Peter Baldo. He served in the Viet Nam conflict and was awarded the Bronze Star for service to his country.
